My research involves work on a number of different aspects of large scale patterns in biodiversity of fossil animals and plants. This involves projects on beta diversity in Maastrichtian dinosaurs, latitudinal diversity gradients in plants, and network analyses of biogeography. Much of my field work is concentrated around the Grande Prairie region along with a number of localities in the Canadian Arctic and the Rocky Mountains.
I am married to my beautiful wife Meaghan, and we have two children, Callum and Ada.
